Apply Now for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is currently seeking outstanding community college students with financial need for its 2017 Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. The Foundation provides up to $40,000 annually to high-achieving students and recent alumni from community colleges or two-year institutions who intend to pursue bachelor's degrees at accredited four-year institutions in Fall 2018. Each year approximately 55 deserving students are selected, making it the largest private scholarship for two-year and community college transfer students in the country. South Seattle College is proud to have had several Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship award recipients, including 2013 alumnus Duyen Le.
The scholarship is intended to cover a significant share of educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees – for the final two to three years necessary to achieve a bachelor’s degree.
Current South Seattle College transfer students and alumni who stand out for their exceptional academic abilities and achievements, persistence, leadership, and desire to help others are encouraged to visit the Cooke Foundation website to learn more.
Application deadline is October 24, 2017.
