Recognizing Years of Service at South Seattle College
South Seattle College has a proud tradition of celebrating individuals who have supported, shaped, and strengthened our college through their years of service. At this year’s Service Awards on May 15, we recognized 58 colleagues who reached significant milestones in their journey with South, ranging from 5 to 45 years of service.
Colleagues gathered in the Brockey Conference Center to be recognized, cheer each other on, and share in a sense of community. South President Monica Brown and Seattle Colleges Chancellor Rosie Rimando-Chareunsap both participated and spoke at the event, thanking the honorees for their dedication to our mission, our students, and for making South their professional home.
Our Chancellor was also recognized for 20 years of service. While she now serves at the Seattle Colleges District Office, most of her career was spent at South, making it especially meaningful to celebrate her accomplishment as an Otter for life.
