South Seattle College’s Black Student Union, Center for Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity and Student Activities & Programs Board are proud to announce this year's Black History Month Celebration. Check out presentations and events on campus throughout the month of February; including dance and cultural workshops, guest speakers and a student showcase. All students, staff, faculty and community members are welcome to attend!

Faculty and staff guest speakers will gather to discuss the history and importance of Black History Month.

Black Economics 

Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m., OLY 120 (Theater) 

Learn more about Black Economics from guest speakers Reggie Brown, financial advisor, Linda Taylor, housing director for the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, Carnisha Rodgers, accountant, and John Evans Smith, local business owner. 

History, Dance & Food 

Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m., OLY 120 (Theater) 

Join us for a presentation by guest speaker Dan Johnson, Dean of Student Life, and performances by South's Intergeneration African Dance class.
